- In Marks speech he talked about the vast diversity of robots that he and his team developed. The main one was the development of spot. He used the organization he worked with as ethos and he backed up his points with videos of his robots clearly working just as he said they would. Logos was used in the whole last quarter of his speech as he was explaining how spot sees, moves, things, and in general how spot works. He did pathos with jokes. He made quite a few so that the audience would not be lost or lose interest as he talked about the technological part of his robots. This is one thing he did very well. With the jokes and explanations paired along with his videos mad his speech a very great one.
- Mark had a dream. A long and expensive dream full of hardships. But, mark was not discouraged his American dreams was to build robots that could benefit the people of the world. Whether it was delivering packages or assisting the elderly. Or just replacing factory line workers. He failed lots of times. But he kept moving forward. Because every good inventor knows that failure is not the end all be all. But failure is just a new door waiting to be opened and explored.
- The America value of perseverance through constant failure was emphasized throughout his speech. Mark admitted to his robots not always working as intended. And yet he kept inventing. The American core value of intelligence is also represented by his speech. For the reason that he and his team had to invent and develop every part of his robot. None of that can be done easily of accidental. The only way to do any of it would be to learn and be intelligent.
- I really liked this speech. It was interesting to learn what goes in to inventing a robot that can adapt to the inconsistencies of the world. It was also quite funny. The speaker referenced twerking at one point and said that his robot could twerk.
- I learned that robots that could assist in everyday life are not that far away. Also I learned that humanistic like robots are not unrealistic at all. They have already been developed
